Project 50-40/20

Description

France Pour Christ, planting churches for more than 30 years in the North and the East of France, has renewed its’ vision for its’ missionary project and analyzed the need for co-workers to be added before 2020.

An essential criteria: to have one church for every 10,000 inhabitants. This standard, used in missiology, allows for the hope that all the inhabitants of a region would have the opportunity to hear the Gospel at least one time. The missionary project of France Pour Christ targets the following objectives:

  • Evangelize from North to East, in this region that God has put on our hearts
  • Train disciples
  • Extend the church

The needs of this region are immense. 750 church plants are needed. To obtain these briefly stated goals.
FPC has determined the number of co-workers it will need before 2020.

  • 50 missionaries
  • 40 associated co-workers (tent makers remaining in their profession)
  • And in the next 10 years we would like to recruit 20 candidates for the Pass FPC, to help youth integrate into the ministry.

In order to evaluate these needs we observed many factors (Many factors observed): the global population of these cities or geographic sectors, the existing Evangelical Protestant churches and the developmental stage of the existing church associated with France Pour Christ.

We have brainstormed the types of ministries we will need:

  • Church planter-evangelist to start new churches
  • Mentoring-pastor to teach and train disciples
  • Associated co-workers who will participate in the missionary team, while keeping their secular jobs

It will also be necessary to plan on replacing 11 co-workers before 2020, who will be retiring.
